WEE LEARN CURRICULUM TRAINING
Please note that this is a virtual training taught by an instructor via a video conferencing service. Class size is limited to 15 participants per Segment. SEGMENT SUMMARIES
Segment l
This is the first of two segments that outline the basics of using the WEE Learn Curriculum. Through interactive discussion and practical application activities, participants will gain an understanding of the following topics: Session 1 – Foundation, Philosophy and Purpose, Age Appropriateness and Development. Diversity; Session 2 – Understanding the Guides, Interweaving Faith and Values; Session 3 – Lesson Plans
Segment II
This is the second of two segments that outline the basics of using the WEE Learn Curriculum. Through interactive discussion and practical application activities, participants will gain an understanding of the following topics: Session 1 – Learning Centers; Session 2 – Classroom Arrangement; Session 3 – Assessment/Screening and Communicating with Parents (Prerequisite is Segment I)
Segment III
The third segment is designed to move beyond the basics of using the WEE Learn Curriculum. Through interactive discussion and practical application activities, participants will gain understanding of the following topics: Session 1 – Maximizing the Curriculum; Session 2 – Accessorizing/Expanding the Curriculum; Session 3 –Standards to Practice: Cross Referencing WEE Learn with State Standards (Prerequisite is Segment II)
Only Segments I & II are required to finalize Florida State/Coalition School Readiness Contracts. Segment III may be taken during the school year.
Each Segment is six hours of training.
